MONTAUK

A morning spent in the water sets your whole week straight. The cold water burns when it hits your face, but there is something strangely comforting about being warm and snug in your winter suit with just the small of your face exposed to the freezing temperatures. Getting the suit off is always the worst part and you have to be swift. The trick is wrapping your suit in a 1 gallon hot water bottle so it’s nice and toasty for when you put in on. When you’re finished with your surf, feeling like a frozen prune, dump that hot water all over you before you rip your suit off. If you do this while standing in a rubber wash bucket you’ll get your tootsies toasty (bonus) and have extra water to give your suit a quick rinse (bonus). Get dressed fast and immediately get that Lynn & Lawrence beanie on.
